Amazon.com Product Description The Great States 14-inch deluxe hand-reel mower provides a clean, precise, scissor-like cut for most turf grasses -- especially for cool-season grasses such as bluegrass, fescue and rye. With a cutting width of 14 inches and a a cutting height of 1/2- to 1-1/2 inches, the mower has 8-1/2-inch diameter high impact, polymer wheels with integral molded tread. It includes a three-spider one-blade reel, an alloy steel reel, a bed knife blade, and an adjustable, three-section roller. The zinc-plated handle has plastic grips for greater comfort. Assembly is required for this unit. To assure a precise, fine cut, each American/Great States feel mower must pass inspection by cutting paper 1/3000-inch thick -- much thinner than a blade of grass. The mower weighs 19 pounds and comes with a limited 90-day warranty.
Amazon.com Review When it comes to hand-pushed reel mowers, what you want is low cost and high efficiency. That's what you get with the Great States push reel lawn mower. Though they call it their "Deluxe Hand Reel Mower," there's not much that's deluxe about it, but its simplicity is one of its nice features. When you're pushing a hand mower, fancy attachments are not what you're really after. Strength and easy maneuverability are more important, and the simplicity of the hand reel mower design, with its three height adjustment settings, allows you to do the job and get on with your weekend. The alloy steel reel and bed knife blades are sharp and strong, and, though the mower is light enough to carry, it's got enough heft for proper traction on slick grass. Assembly is easy enough--it doesn't take more than 10 minutes--and there's a limited 90-day warranty.

Nice little mower November 2, 2008 El (Austin, TX) This is the perfect mower for a very small lawn. It works best on "short-ish" lawns. Longer grass is difficult to cut.
Great Little Mower October 13, 2008 R. Finger (Mebane, NC USA) I received this mower 2 weeks ago. My husband assembled it for me yesterday and only took him about 15 minutes to assemble. We have a small fenced in side yard that is too small for the riding mower. I had this mowed in less than 15 minutes. It worked very well. We were both very pleased. There were a few spots that I had to mow a couple of times, but the grass was taller in those spots. I am very pleased with my purchase.
A very good buy September 16, 2008 Georgianna Pattelena (Woburn , MA) Would want to share this was a very good buy for me. The price was excellent. Very easy to assemble. Works with a minimum of effort. Saves on gas. Yes, I am satisfied with this purchase and recommend this lawn mower.
American Lawn Mower Push Mower August 29, 2008 Sierra Anderson (Austin, TX USA) Product is everything it claims to be. My 9 year old grandson says its almost as much fun as a gas-powered riding mower.
Works great! August 23, 2008 Cat Skyfire (Lincoln, NE, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was easy to put together and easy to use. I don't have a big lawn, so it is ideal for me. Some parts of the lawn were overgrown and it took a bit more effort than a power mower would. However, since a big mower takes more effort to use overall, I think it balances. It does take longer to use than a power mower, but I rather enjoyed the workout it gave me. Clean lawn, little mess, and I didn't smell like fumes when it was over.
