After reading online reviews and consumer reports, chose to replace aging Craftsman 6.5hp front wheel self propelled mower with the Toro 20352 (California politically correct version of 20332).
Mowing is almost fun now, certainly not the chore it was before. After adding oil and gas, the mower started on the very first pull. The "personal pace" system works perfectly, and is very easy to get used to. Tight maneuvering and pulling the mower back was no more difficult on this rear wheel drive mower than the Craftsman. The drive never slipped, and the variable speed self propel makes mowing a simple walk in the yard.
In tall grass and weeds the side discharge never clogged, and on the lawn the bagging worked well. I am sold on rear wheel drive self propel and the "personal pace" system.
Keeping the mower running without holding the handle is as simple as tying the bail back.
The washout port is silly, much easier to just tip the mower and use a hose with nozzle. Also I would have preferred a washable foam type air filter rather than the replaceable paper kind.
Overall the best mower I've ever used.

I used to have a 7cc craftsman mower from Sears. Supposedly self propelled but that feature was a joke. I felt like I was pushing 500 pounds uphill which made lawnmowing a very unpleasant experience for me.
And then I bought the Toro lawnmower cause a friend recommended it.
I cannot believe I was cutting grass for so long without it.
Not only it pulls itself, it almost makes me feel like i'm pushing a plastic toy in front of me. So light and yet so powerful it makes lawn mowing enjoyable!
You don't even need side discharge or bagging. It does an awesome job recycling the clippings back into the ground. You hardly see anything at all!
I definitely recommend it for anyone who has back pains and doesn't have the money to get something expensive such as a riding mower. This is the ultimate tool to have for your lawn.
One note: Don't pour the whole oil container in the oil tank cause there are usually some left overs from the factory in it. 3/4 of the container should be enough.
