This powerful, eco-friendly riding mower operates using three electric motors, a proprietary combination that provides low power consumption and optimum performance. And because it doesn't require the mess or expense of gas and oil, this riding mower emits zero carbon emissions, fumes, and odors.Simple, Straightforward Operation Complete with an easily accessible seat, this revolutionary mower is not only environmentally friendly, but also incredibly easy to use. The mower is operated through simple hand controls, and the included bagger easily detaches without tools for quick emptying. To get the Recharge Mower ready for us, simply plug the included UL approved Smart Charger directly into any standard wall outlet. Charge the unit overnight, and it will be ready to mow the next morning--for up to three hours, more than enough time to cut any standard size lawn. Powerful Mower for a Perfectly Manicured Lawn When it comes to performance, the Recharge Mower won't let you down. The two long-life, 900-watt electric blades spin at 3,800 RPM for fast cutting. And five selectable cutting heights in half-inch increments from 0.75 to 2.75 ensure a perfectly manicured result. The Recharge Mower also features a 27-inch wide cutting path--bigger than conventional walk-behind mowers, yet small enough to allow for free movement through an average fence gate, giving you convenient access to front and rear yards. The powerful rear-wheel-drive electric motor provides abundant forward and reverse momentum. Designed with Safety in Mind The Recharge Mower was designed with a host of features that ensure optimum user safety. To start, an operator-presence switch prevents the unit from functioning when the operator leaves the seat. Additionally, a blade engagement switch requires two actions to initiate the activation of the blade, and reverse speed limiting means the mower will only operate at half the normal forward speed while in reverse. For further safety, this mower operates quietly, so it's easy on your ears. Rugged, Durable Construction for Long Life The Recharge Mower is ultra-durable and won't need tune-ups or special maintenance. Built to last, it boasts a resilient body that's perfectly fitted over a coated and welded metal frame. Additionally, its sealed 36v38Ah batteries are center mounted to improve balance and weight distribution, while its cutting blades are housed within the metal shrouded deck for extra protection against wear and tear. What's more, all of the Recharge Mower's connections are tight and weatherproofed with shrink wrap, and the electronic components are safely positioned and shielded under the operator seat to prevent damage. The Recharge Mower conforms to UL1447 and ANSI B71.1 standards and comes with a two-year limited warranty. What's in the Box Mower with three sealed batteries; grass catcher; charger; and operator's manual.

| Customer Reviews: Huge expen$ive mistake! August 23, 2010 Enchanted Alchemist (Pittsburgh Metro Area) I recently bought this mower in the spring of 2010 for $2200 and it is defective. The drive motor needs to be replaced. It has been weeks since I called to report this to the warranty company and I am really worried that it will take a very long time for this repair to be completed. There are many other parts that have been faulty for other owners of this model. I am presently waiting to have the following parts to be replaced: drive motor/rear axle assembly, control module [drives forward and backward], relay module [controls cutting blades], steering wheel, rake brackets, seat rod cotter pins.
I was so excited about this mower for so many reasons: small enough to fit through my gates, no gas or oil, no fumes and low noise. I am now so disappointed that I made this foolish decision on such an expensive purchase. Recharge Mower should send me a new mower. Instead they are replacing everything but the seat and tires.
There was another bad review of this mower very recently on Amazon. The owner was having several problems including it accelerating out of control. Now I notice that this negative review has been removed!!! I hope my review won't be censored.
This is a great concept, but I suggest you wait for the many defects to be worked out before purchasing.
Recharge mower August 2, 2010 J. Glasgow (MiddleTennessee) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I rated this mower at five stars because it delivered all that it promised. I also went directly through the Company (sorry, Amazon) because my comfort-zone with the price suggested to me that I should by-pass the middleman. From day-one, the company courteously answered all my pre-purchase questions, walked me through shipping - assembly- and operations, including tips to use the mower more effectively.
Using my push mower, my suburban lawn used to take me almost three hours to do, and that with my wife's help. (I'm retired, i.e., well over 21.) Now I do it by myself in about one hour. After about eight mowings already, I am quite satisfied. Operationally, the twin blades cut well, and the bagger is superb. The power is more than adequate, both in chomping grass and rises in terrain with rider and full load of grass. I also tested the charging capacity. I did a couple of double-runs on one recharge, for a total of about two and three-quarters of an hour. It can do the promised three hour running time per charge.
It was refreshing, considering the cost of the machine, to have so many safeguards to protect the mower itself, as well as the obvious safety to operator and other wee critters nearby. For me, it is more agile that a conventional tractor-type. I appreciate not having bio-hazards in the garage, no odors, and almost nothing in maintenance. With an estimated 25-30 recharges per mowing season, I would anticipate a long, long time before needing to replace the battery pack.
If you have a normal suburban-sized lawn, and a noisy conventional gas riding mower does not excite you, I could recommend the Recharge Electric riding mower without reservation.
Help protect Mother Earth July 20, 2010 El principe (USA) I purchased this machine in September 2009 and I have used it a few times having no problems with it except that the electronic control module, which makes it goes forward and backwards, stopped working but after a call to the distributor in Canada I was able to get the part which arrived in Florida in a few days.
Perhaps because I was not familiar with its components the installation of the thing, which goes right under the seat, took me about an hour.
Since it is quite small I have found out this mower should be handled with care and I would say it is suitable for medium and small yards but I have to admit its cutting is excellent while the grass catcher keeps the yard neat which is an additional advantage if you compost.
With more power, larger front tires and frame I believe this non-polluting electric mower will become popular with the increasingly environmentally conscious people of America and Canada.
It would also be an asset if the machine were manufactured in North America instead of China.
powerchair mower July 10, 2010 Walter J. Dedo Jr. 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I received the rechargemower in about a week after ordering it . The delivery company put it right in my garage and I had it assembled in about 30 minutes. After charging it overnight I cut both my front and back lawn with plenty of power to spare. It takes time getting used to because you have to go slower then with a gas rider and it has a lot of safety switches on it. The things I like most about it is I just have to charge it once after using it and then unplug it and it is ready to go in a week when I'm set to mow again. Also it has a very even cut which I didn't get with my other mowers because I have a lot of uneven spots in my lawn.I can also use it as apower chair if I need to get something up at the store because with the 3 hour run time it makes it with ease. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it bogs down a little going up hill and doesn't do leaves and a week after I bought it amazon dropped the price by $300.
good when it works July 3, 2010 anonymous (western PA, United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Ready to go with very minimal assembly. Used it ONCE. Cuts grass wonderfully, and able to go up hills. Breaker tripped (for good) the next day, and won't stick back in "on" position. Therefore, the machine is dead. So, the $2000 is lost until I can get a local electrician to look at it. (Meanwhile, have an email into mower company.)
Other problem is delivery. Never had a problem with anything from Amazon before, and I order A LOT. Carrier called a few days after order and asked if someone would be able to help them take it off their truck! Since it weighs 300#, and I'm a woman who works all day, I said, "no." They transferred it to a carrier with a lift on their truck (duh). After that, it was phone tag, but they were finally able to leave it in my driveway, at my request.
