I've had it two weeks now and love it, Cutting rural 9,000 sf lawn, no problem with battery life or power, have no idea how long the battery lasts, went over most the lawn twice and didn't show a hint of running down. Similar to gas engine in results. A consumer rating service had it at the top, especially for mulching, now that the leaves are falling it is showing its stuff, they just disappear, back into the soil where they belong. No more leaf blowing or raking, just mowing. Definitely recommend this one.
Easy to use and plenty of battery life August 27, 2010

I read many reviews on both the Toro and Black and Decker battery operated mowers. I think either would have served my needs but my neighborhood lawn mower repair shop recommended the toro based on feedback he had received from users of this product, and Toro has a network of shops like his who provide service versus black and decker who does not. The mower arrived via Yellow Freight safe and sound. Very little assembly required and very simple instructions on how to operate. I mow 2 yards that are flat that total about 5,000 square feet with plenty of obstacles to navigate around. Took a little getting use to pushing this mower as all my previous gas mowers have been self propelled. I do notice the difference. Not a big deal, just a little more exercise for me. I noticed the mower actually mows better the thicker the grass. We have been going through a bit of a drought so many areas of the lawn are thin. In the really thin areas where there is space between tall blades of grass the mower does not cut all these blades of grass evenly. The manual does say to try lowering the front of the mower deck one notch lower than the rear deck if this problem occurs. Have not tried that yet. The mower is well constructed, and has a solid feel to it when you are mowing. The 'plastic' wheels are well made and you really would not know they are plastic without giving them close examination. If you are looking for the feel of macho power you are not going to get it with this machine. If you are looking for an easy, battery operated mower that will get the job done than this is the machine for you. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I bought this from Amazon, and it arrived damaged...then it was a hassle to take to UPS because I couldn't fit the box into my small car...(I wasn't sure how much UPS would charge me to pick it up, and didn't know how to change to pick up) Ended up buying it locally, without box. EASY to charge and start! If you used to had a gas powered mower, it takes some getting used to...not nearly as powerful, but glad to help the environment & get a bit more exercise!

The product works great! The packaging tho does not seem to be for shipping. The handles are extended and then secured by a bolt and nut. During transportation the bolt came of and fell out of the box. Fortunately for me the bolt came off at the Mailbox Etc place where I had it shipped. I was able to retrieve after asking one of the employes there. The equipment worked wonderfully. I am happy with it.

Buyer
The first Toro e-cycler arrived with major damage. Amazon required that I return the damaged item. No small task considering the shipping container was damaged and this unit weights 70lbs. I was required to repackage and bring the damaged mower to the UPS drop location. Again, this was difficult due to the fact that the place is only open two hours a day. Handling an awkward 70 pound package is also difficult. A large vehicle such as a truck is needed to transport it. Amazon sent me a replacement mower. This one arrived in the same type of container but suffered only minor damage. I replaced a bent bolt myself and was able to straighten out a bent wheel adjusting lever.
The e-cycler seems to do a good job on the lawn. Mowing time is as advertised.
I would recommend against buying this item from anyone other than a local dealer because of the problems associated with Toro's inability to package their product. Also, Amazon doesn't go out of their way to make the return very easy.
