1 out of 5 stars This mower is cheap and poorly built   July 24, 2010

I have had this mower for 2 months now and I an unimpressed by it. It is poorly built and I suspect it will not last for 20 years like my craftsman did.

Cons.
1. The mower will not go up even the slightest of incline at all. It gets stuck rather easily in small ruts.
2. The mower vibrates really bad and after about 20 minutes you are tired of this since the seat is hard.
3. It will not stay at the speed you set it at. Mine slowly slips out of the notches and works its way up to full throttle all the time. Only 6 mowings and already broke.
4. Sometimes the mower will not engage to go in reverse and jerks when it does.
5. There's no cover between your feet and the mower deck.
6. Needs a special charger for battery

Pros
1. The mower will fit through a 30 inch door easily
2. Seems be fairly fuel efficient for a mower
3. Starts easily either pulling or with key
4. Fairly quite for a riding mower.

I would not recommend this mower. Spend a few more dollars and get something better. This ones not going to hold up if you have a big yard. Its cheap plastic and easy to break. Mine already has problems with the speed control and reverse after 6 45 minute uses. The thing vibrates so bad I cant help but wonder if its going to blow up.

Fun to ride, easy to control.
Perfect for my 1/2 acre yard with lots of trees.
Needs a bit more ground clearance and may be power.

4 out of 5 stars Just Mowed   July 19, 2010

I was a little skeptical but it works. WELL!!! I bought a foreclosure with a 1/3 acre lot. Mowed tall grass with no problem. My yard is not flat at all. Very bumpy, though no hills. Slight grade of about 7% away from the house. Mower never slowed down or even seemed to hesitate.

The good:
Cheap
mows very even
pretty fast
cruise control

The bad:
no cup holder

For me this is a great mower for the money. If I had a larger yard, I might go with something larger.

Update: Neglected my back lawn while we did some remodeling. Grew very tall in some sections and the Weedeater One had no problem getting it back under control. I did find what another reviewer wrote about edges to be true. Be careful around sidewalk edges or concrete edges that are taller than the grass. When you mow along side them, the wheel can catch and turn the steering. Also it sputters when engaging the mowing deck. Almost sounds like it will stall but it never has.

Just got a chance to use my mower today. First off I got this item at my door in about two weeks not bad at all where I live. The hardest then for me was getting out of the box that it came in. Putting together took about 15min. It started right up in a matter of seconds. I would of gave it 5 stars but the it does not have a good turning radius. Also if you have an uneven yard you need to be careful about mowing any small hills, it does feel that the mower might roll over but being my first time using a riding mower this could be all in my head. The more I use it this might change. Did cut very well. It has three speeds and you can only cut while its in a forward speed, if you put it in reverse and the blade is engage the mower will shut down. So everytime you have to back up you have disengage the blade. This is kind of pain. And with the tight turning radius this happen alot for myself because I few tight places I have to get in to mow. But I happy with it and glad I bought it.......
