A great feature is that the cutting reel does not hit the cutting bar. That means little or no re-sharpening of the cutting reel for years. You will save bucks with this feature alone. Few trips to the knife-sharpener. Reel mowers that make the click click click noise do so because the reel is hitting the cutting bar and that dulls the reel over time.

The mower arrived promptly and was relatively easy to assemble. The installation of the cotter pins was the only difficult part.
The mower is quiet and efficient and I can manage to cut even tall grass with it. Sticks must be removed first of course. I expect to use the mower for many years.
No fumes, no noise, good exercise. Why would anyone want a conventional mower.
When I had a larger yard, I used a Black & Decker rechargeable electric mower - and a reel mower for touch-ups. That was a good combination.
